Many years ago, my partners and I had a vision to someday create an exclusive yet affordable water retreat environment for those who love to spend time on the water in simple luxury.

Today, we have transformed the vision to reality, and present to you the Harbor Cottage~ 54 feet long and 18 feet wide, with 399 square feet of living and entertaining space, afloat for all four seasons.  Enjoy such amenities as Corian countertops, electric fireplace, coast guard approved self incinerating waste system, and fully furnished with flat screen televisions and full size household appliances.  The Cottage is fully insulated, has electric heat, and enough air conditioning to cool even the hottest couple.  The fully railed walk around deck is a full 32” wide, large enough to accommodate a wheel chair.

Harbor Cottages can only be found at Harborside Marina, a gated marina located on the Illinois River just 60 miles southwest of Chicago.  Located on a public waterway, our semi-secluded marina offers ‘just enough’ public access to keep you in the action while still allowing you to feel you are getting away from it all—“Harborside, where the vacation never ends.”

With a Harbor Cottage, enjoy water front property with a million dollar sunset view without the million dollar + price tag (and the taxes to go along with it).  Entertain children, grandchildren, and friends year-round, and in the warmer months, enjoy a sunset cruise on the Avalon pontoon boat that is included with the Harbor Cottage package.  If you are a ‘snowbird’ and spend the winter months in warmer climate, the Harbor Cottage offers a perfect retreat during the winter holidays while visiting family locally.

Harbor Cottage owners will enjoy amenities similar to our marina members:  swimming in our in-ground heated pool, access to wireless internet, cable television, and a restaurant that still loves Elvis and the Neverly Brothers (an Everly Brothers tribute band).  We provide and maintain a safe atmosphere where men, women, and children of all ages feel secure and comfortable anywhere, at any hour, on our beautiful 16 acre marina.
